Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with Conpanion in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to start managing your construction projects.

Step 1: Create Your Account and Log In

  1. Visit app.getconpanion.com
  2. Click "Sign Up"
  3. Enter your email address and create a password
  4. Verify your email address
  5. Log in with your email address and password

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

  1. Upon account creation, you will already have a default organization.
  2. Navigate to Organization Settings: Tap on the organization item in the top bar, then tap on "Organization Settings"
  3. Create Organization: In General Settings, enter your company name and details
  4. Add Organization Logo: In PDF Watermark, upload your company logo for branding. Try to keep the resolution of it to a lower one

Step 3: Set Up Your First Project

  1. Upon account creation, a default project will already have been created.
  2. Navigate to Project Settings: Tap on the project item in the top bar, then tap on "Project Settings"
  3. Enter project details:
    • Project Name: e.g., "Downtown Office Building"
    • Project Description: Brief description of the project
  4. Click "Save changes"

Step 4: Invite Your Organization Members

  1. Go to Organizations top drawerManage Members
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Enter team member's email address
  4. Select their role:
    • Admin: Full access to all features
    • Member: Can create and manage content
    • Guest: Read-only access to assigned items
  5. Click "Send Invitation"

Step 5: Add Your Project Members

  1. Go to Projects top drawerManage Members
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Select an organization member you would like to join the project
  4. Select their role:
    • Admin: Full access to all features
    • Member: Can create and manage content
    • Guest: Read-only access to assigned items
  5. Click "Send Invitation"

Step 6: Create Your First Task

  1. Navigate to the Tasks section
  2. Click "Add Task"
  3. Fill in task details:
    • Title: "Foundation Inspection"
    • Description: "Complete foundation inspection checklist"
    • Priority: Medium
    • Due date: "September 3rd, 2025"
    • Assignee: Select a project member
    • Labels: Choose or add a label for classification purposes
    • Attachments: Upload relevant attachments to tasks (e.g. specifications, drawings)
  4. Click "Create Task"

Step 7: Set Up Your First Form

  1. Go to Forms section
  2. Click "New Form"
  3. Fill in Form name
  4. Add questions:
    • Text questions
    • Multiple choice questions
    • Checkboxes
    • Photo upload
  5. Click "Create Form"
